Jeneration J Announces RVY4P!

Jeneration J is excited to announce its first voice competition, Raise Your Voice for Peace (RYV4P).

RYVP is a signing competition that showcases the vocal talent of youth ages 13 to 19 years old. Vocal artists can participate by uploading their audition material to a special link at here. All submissions must be uploaded by 11:59pm Sunday, October 14th. No late entries will be accepted.

Contestants can compete by performing existing or original material that is impact, positive, and empowering, such as:

Tupac - Keep Your Head Up Beyonce - Halo

Alessia Cara - Scars to Your Beautiful Khalid - American Teen

Kendrick Lamar - I Love Myself Alicia Keyes - This Girl is on Fire

Destiny’s Child - I’m a Survivor Marvin Gaye - What’s Going On

Bruno Mars - Just the Way you Are Taylor Swift – Shake it Off

Contestants’ online submissions will be judged by a panel of entertainment professionals led by recording artist, producer, and philanthropist, Jildy T. Each week for six weeks, contestants will be eliminated until we have a Grand Finale Round of Five Finalists. Then, on Saturday, November 10th at 6:00pm, the Five Grand Finale Contestants will perform and compete live (to tracks/beats). The Grand Prize Winner will receive $3,000, record a demo and more. Runner-ups will receive “swag bags” full of prizes and more.

Here are a few guidelines to follow:

  • Youth singers’ ages 13 to 19 years of age are eligible to compete in RYV4P

  • Online submissions will be accepted Monday, August 6th through 11:59 pm Sunday, October 14th.

RYV4P is a component of Jeneration J – Jenesse Center’s Youth Violence Prevention and Intervention program – created to help youth form and maintain healthy relationships in their homes, schools and wherever they congregate and socialize. The program teaches young people how to identify warning signs that lead to unhealthy relationships.
